Directing DeSales' 'Miracle Worker' required a special touch (The Morning Call)

Steven Dennis of DeSales University decided to present ''The Miracle Worker,'' William Gibson's Tony Award-winning play about the relationship between Annie Sullivan and her student, Helen Keller , because of his own experiences with researching teachers of the deaf. In the late 1980s, Dennis was cast in ''Children of a Lesser God'' as James, a hearing man who falls in love with a deaf woman.
